Orange County Teeth Crown FAQs
Serving Orange County In Irvine, Mission Viejo, Newport Beach, Laguna Niguel, Santa Margarita, and Surrounding Areas
Are porcelain crowns right for me?
If you have tooth decay that is too severe to be corrected with porcelain fillings or dental bonding, porcelain crowns provide an excellent solution. Porcelain crowns are also ideal for teeth that have required a root canal (or endodontic procedure) and for full mouth reconstruction procedures.
Can porcelain crowns correct cosmetic problems?
Yes. In many cases in which the teeth are too seriously damaged to be corrected with procedures such as dental bonding or porcelain veneers, porcelain crowns can replace the entire visible surface of the tooth with a natural looking, durable porcelain composite crown.
Should I have my metal or gold crowns replaced with porcelain?
In most cases, this isn't necessary. However, if your existing crowns have become degraded, if you are bothered by the appearance of your existing crowns, or if you opt for our full mouth reconstruction procedure, we can safely replace your existing crowns with natural looking, durable porcelain crowns.
Isn't porcelain fragile?
No. Our porcelain crowns are actually a composite material, specially designed for strength, beauty, and durability, and then cured with a precisely calibrated light, which gives them all the strength of natural tooth enamel. With our advanced technologies and porcelain composite, porcelain crowns are an excellent option even for the teeth that take the most wear and tear.
